Step 3: Setup & Security Instructions

Telegram is the most secure and private way for us to communicate, but your personal security depends on how you set up your profile. Follow these steps to ensure your identity remains protected:

1. Protect Your Phone Number: Once you’ve downloaded the Telegram app, go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Phone Number. Set “Who can see my phone number” to Nobody.

2. Use an Alias: You do not need to use your real name. In the same Settings menu, you can change your “Display Name” to a pseudonym or nickname. I highly recommend doing this to maintain your privacy.

3. Security Warning (Infiltration): Be advised that high-ticket scammers and their “teams” often pay for access to tools like this to monitor the investigation. Assume there are bad actors in the group. Do not share sensitive personal financial information (like full account numbers) in the public chat. Use the group for strategy and peer support; keep your specific case details confidential.
